Titanium grades and specifications

Titanium Grade 2 (UNS R50400, W.Nr 3.7035): commercially pure titanium and the most widely used grade in industry.

Grade 2 sheet, strip and plate: ASTM B265 / ASME SB265. Bar: ASTM B348 / ASME SB348.

Grade 2 seamless pipe: ASTM B861. Welded pipe: ASTM B862. Forgings: ASTM B381 (F-2). Flanges and other forms on request.

Titanium Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V, UNS R56400): the widely used high-strength titanium alloy, stocked as sheet and plate to ASTM B265 and bar to ASTM B348. Grades 1, 3, 4, 7, 12 and 23 on enquiry. See all grades.

Grade 2 typical chemistry: O ≤ 0.25%, Fe ≤ 0.30%, N ≤ 0.03%, C ≤ 0.08%, H ≤ 0.015%.

Grade 2 physical data: density about 4.51 g/cm³ (about 57% that of steel), melting point about 1665 °C, non-magnetic.

Grade 2 typical minimums (ASTM B265): tensile 345 MPa, yield 275 MPa, elongation 20%.

Titanium forms we supply

Grade 2 sheet and plate are used for linings and tube sheets and can be cut to size or into discs and circles. Round bar is cut to length for machined parts, and B861/B862 pipe suits cooling and seawater lines. Every piece keeps its heat number and mill markings. Sizes are on request.
