Hastelloy C276 (UNS N10276, W.Nr 2.4819) is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with tungsten, and one of the most versatile corrosion-resistant alloys available. It withstands wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide, ferric and cupric chlorides, hot contaminated mineral acids and seawater, and its very low carbon content limits grain-boundary precipitation during welding.
